Hi
I am quite new and I'm trying to set up some sensors with a plc.
For it to work I need to change the parity and baud rate, so they correspond to the plc limitations and other Modbus devices that are connected. I have already managed to set different ID`s for the sensors but im not able to write the new Baud rate and parity. Baud from 38400 to 9600: Parity fom none to even:
Whenever I try I get error messages. How do you change them?
Hello,
The commands look correct. If you refer to the documentation for the BP sensors, you will note that these two registers has the property of R/Wp. This means that it is write-protected. You will need to hold down the MD button on the BP sensor when you issue the commands for it to work.

@andrew-hsu Hi yes i have been holding the md button while sending the command until i get the error mesage I did manage to set the ID`s for the probes but when i try for the baud etc it doses not? iI did however spott somthing while looking at the registers, can this have somthing to do wit it. The id register does not have the (1)(2) behind it?
@henry
I have went through the process here to set the baudrate and parity as you have shown and can get it working. I am thinking maybe this is related to the firmware inside the BP sensor. Please double check your frimware version; it should be 1.06 or later. You can check it by checking register 121:
If it is not, please follow the instructions from this page and see if the problem gets resolved.

@Henry
Please also check when you press the MD button, does the green LED turn ON?
