Can the spi interface be used just using 3-wires (cLK, mosi AND mIso). Also if I just want to monitor, how do i turn off outputs on spi signals?

Apologies for the delayed response. Yes, CS(SS) is not required, CLK/MOSI/MISO lines are enough. Also, I2C/SPI Tap is a passive sniffer device, it never drives the lines.
