IO Ninja Serial Tap (Sniffer UART signal)

Hi IO Ninja Team:

I recently purchased an IO Ninja Serial Tap to sniffer RS-232 and UART signal. (Good HW/SW quality, love it!)

RS-232 sniffer looks good for me, but I'm in trouble when sniffer UART signal.

What I do is:

1. Direct connect DB1 / DB2 connector's Tx, Rx, GND to my two UART devices separately.
2. Select switch to UART (TTL)
3. Open software and start to monitor.

Then I see nothing on software.
Kindly is my configuration correct? If not, what's the right configuration, thanks~~~

Now, to your question. When you use a Serial Tap to sniff TTL-level UART signal, you have to use the terminal block on top of your Serial Tap, not DB9 connects at the sides.

As can be seen from this block diagram, DB9 connectors are for RS232 only; RS485 and UART(TTL) lines can only be connected the corresponding section of the terminal block.
